Is the Free plan really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free has no time limit and needs no card. It includes 1,500 AI words a day, 1 AI generation a day (a summary, notes, quiz, mock exam, mind map, study plan or tutorial) and 3 flashcard sets a day, with 1 space and 50 MB of storage.

Is there a free trial of a paid plan?

Yes. Pro paid yearly starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card at checkout and aren't charged until the trial ends, then it's $89 a year unless you cancel first. Cancel any time from Settings → Subscription. It's one trial per person.

Question 3

What is an "AI word"?

Accepted Answer

AI words measure everything Skolight writes for you: Skolar's answers, notes, summaries, quizzes, flashcards and the rest. Your plan's daily allowance resets at midnight UTC, and a Skolar reply counts as at least 150 words. Each study aid you generate (a summary, notes, quiz, mock exam, mind map, study plan, tutorial or podcast) also counts toward a daily generation limit, and flashcard sets have their own; Max has no daily limit on either.

Can I pay monthly or yearly?

Both. Paid plans bill monthly, or yearly for at least 38% less than twelve monthly payments. You can switch or cancel any time from Settings → Subscription.

What are credit top-ups?

Top-ups are one-time packs of AI words: 50,000 words for $5.99, 200,000 for $12.99 or 600,000 for $24.99. They're used after your daily allowance runs out, never expire, and stay with you if you change plans. You can buy them on any plan, Free included.

Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel later?

Upgrade any time: it applies straight away and you pay the prorated difference. Plans can't be moved down directly; to switch to a lower plan, cancel under Settings → Subscription → Manage subscription, keep your current plan until the period ends, then choose the lower one.

Do you offer student or group pricing?

There's no separate student plan: every plan is priced for students, and Free covers a lot. Paying yearly saves at least 38%. For a study group, only the person who starts the group needs Starter or above; classmates can join on any plan, Free included. Schools and clubs that need several accounts can get in touch.
