How it works

  1. 1

    Add your deadlines

  2. 2

    Get a paced plan

Skolight spreads the work across the days you have, keeping clear of your busy days.

  3. 3

    Follow it day by day

See today's tasks on a calendar, timeline, or roadmap, and use the Pomodoro timer to stay focused.

What you get

Paced to the deadline

Plans work back from the exam date so the material is covered in time, not crammed into the last week.

Fits your real week

Set the minutes you can study per day, skip weekdays you can't study, and avoid days that are already busy.

Built from your mistakes

After a mock exam, turn the topics you got wrong into a focused revision plan in one step.

Calendar, timeline, or roadmap

Three views of the same plan, so you can see today's tasks or the whole run-up to exam day.

Pomodoro focus timer

A built-in timer with short and long breaks, on every plan, including Free.

Reminders

In-app and email reminders keep you on schedule (Pro and Unlimited plans).

Why a plan beats cramming

Spreading study out over days and weeks - distributed practice - is the other technique rated "high utility" in Dunlosky and colleagues' 2013 review of learning research, alongside practice testing. The same hours produce much stronger long-term memory when they're spaced out than when they're crammed into one session.

The hard part is the planning itself: deciding what to cover on which day across several subjects and deadlines. A study planner that knows your exam dates and available time does that arithmetic for you, so each day starts with a clear, realistic list.

Pair the plan with short daily quizzes and flashcard reviews, and you're combining both of the most effective study techniques known.
