Skolar AI tutor

An AI tutor that knows your course material

Skolar answers questions using the lectures, PDFs, and notes in your library - and cites where each answer came from, so you can check it. Ask it to explain, solve, research, quiz you, or plan your revision.

How it works

  1. 1

    Build your library

Add the slides, PDFs, notes, recordings, and links for your course.

  2. 2

    Ask anything

Ask a question in your own words, attach a photo of a problem, or pick a mode: explain, solve, research, quiz, or plan.

  3. 3

    Check the sources

Numbered citations link each part of the answer back to the exact source, so you know what to trust.

What you get

Answers from your material

Skolar searches your own library before it answers, so explanations use your course's terms, examples, and notation.

Citations you can check

Every grounded answer lists its sources with numbered citations, which keeps you in control of what you learn.

Modes for each job

Explain a concept, solve a problem step by step, research a question across your sources, quiz yourself, or plan your week.

Photos and documents

Attach up to five images or documents - a photo of a problem sheet, a graph, a page of handwriting - and ask about them.

Math and graphs

Formulas render properly, and Skolar can plot graphs to show how a function or a dataset behaves.

It builds study material

Ask for a quiz, a mock exam, flashcards, notes, a mind map, or a study plan, and Skolar creates it in your Space.

Why a tutor that cites its sources matters

General-purpose chatbots answer from everything they have ever seen, which is why they can sound confident and still be wrong, or explain a topic differently from how your lecturer does. When you are studying for a specific exam, that difference matters.

Skolar works the other way round: it searches your own material first and shows its citations, so you can see where an answer came from and check it in a click. The aim is not to do the work for you, but to give you a patient explainer who has read everything you were assigned.

Use it when you're stuck rather than as a shortcut: ask it to explain a step you don't follow, then ask it to quiz you on the same idea to make sure it stuck.
